The Firin' Squad first started blazing a trail through London's underground club scene over a decade ago. Today they are one of the UK's leading DJ outfits, they're at the forefront of the urban music takeover, and they're coming at you from every angle.

Their club schedule is heavy. Currently they have a weekly residency on Sunday nights at Bar Rumba in London and they continue to play the biggest nights all over the UK and overseas -- recent international gigs have included Dubai, New York, Russia, Ukraine, MTV Block Parties in Lithuania, and through Summer 2008 they hit the holiday hotspots of Ibiza and Ayia Napa.

But where ever they are, and whether they're playing to a few hundred people in an intimate venue or on a stage in front of a few thousand, the aim is always the same, and that is to rock the party, hard!

There have been the chart-topping albums -- The Firin' Squad have compiled and mixed seven releases to date. These collections of urban music have all proven to be very successful, with the four releases in The Very Best Of Pure R&B series alone having combined sales of over one million CD's.

They are also accomplished presenters. In August 2007 the trio were signed up by Choice FM, 18 months after having left Kiss 100 where they had held down a weekly show for seven years.

At present you can hear them on Saturday afternoons between 3pm and 6pm presenting a show with the energy that they are famous for, playing a broad mixture of urban music and as always, championing the new sounds. Guests featured on the show have included the likes of Kano, Roll Deep and MOBO 2008 award winner Chipmunk.

Since January 2007, the guys have been providing in-flight entertainment for the UK’s second largest airline, BMI. You can catch them in the mix, on the Urban Show on all long haul flights.

In August 2006 they launched a project which fully embraced the digital music revolution - Firin’ Squad Unsigned Podcast is a series of monthly audio programmes designed to spotlight the finest unsigned and independent talent on the UK’s urban music scene.

The podcasts are free to download from the iTunes Store and with each half hour show the guys roll out a selection of the hottest tracks from various artists and also feature studio guests, with an exclusive live performance and interview. The series not only has the support of all the artists on the urban scene, but also has the highest accolade from the radio industry. The boys won Gold at the prestigious Sony Radio Academy Awards in 2007 and were nominated again in 2008.
