With this series of monthly podcasts, we are shining the spotlight on the hottest unsigned and independent artists and music, and bringing you the heaviest underground sounds from the UK's urban music scene.

Firin' Squad Unsigned Podcast beat off massive competition to win Gold at the 2007 Sony Radio Academy Awards in the Internet Programme Award category, and was nominated at the Sony's once again in 2008.
The series which was launched in August 2006 is fast becoming one of the biggest podcasts online, and on road! And has now also received the highest accolades from the radio industry.

We've made some improvements and enhanced our podcasts, which will now make them a more interactive experience, with images and hotlinks embedded into the audio.
Previously the podcasts were delivered as MP3 files, but ow episodea are being encoded in AAC format. To get the best enhanced experience, you will need to have iTunes and Quicktime installed on your computer. The software is free to download, and is available for both Mac and PC users.
